prenatal support in denver
We are becoming, too.
Support during pregnancy for the identity transition already underway, not only the one that starts the day you come home from the hospital.
We spend so much time preparing for a baby, and so little time preparing for what happens to us as we become parents. We learn about birth. We make registries. We read about feeding and sleep and everything our babies will need.
Becoming is where that happens. It is support during pregnancy for the person moving through all of it.
But how often do we make space for the person moving through all of it?
Becoming does not stop when the baby arrives
Parenthood keeps asking us to grow, adjust, let go, reconnect, and discover new parts of ourselves. There is no finish line where we suddenly are the parents we are supposed to be. We keep becoming.
Part of that is learning to acknowledge the bigness of these transitions. To make room for the joy and the hard at the same time, without needing one to cancel out the other. Pregnancy is a chance to start practicing that, and parenthood will keep offering chances after it.
What we work on
your nervous system
What helps you feel grounded, and practices you can return to when things get loud.
your relationships
How they are preparing to change, and how to talk about it before you are exhausted.
expectations and patterns
The values, fears and patterns you are carrying into parenthood, some of them from a long way back.
your support
What help actually looks like for you, and how to ask for it.
your own becoming
Who you have been, who you are meeting, and how to make room for both.
Not because we can prepare perfectly. We cannot. But we can enter parenthood knowing ourselves a little better, with support we can come back to as we keep changing.
How it works
You can begin at any point in pregnancy. We start with a consultation, and from there the sessions are yours to use as the weeks change.

A casual gathering for pregnant women to connect and have an honest conversation about the part of pregnancy that gets less attention: us. The changes. The unknowns. The excitement. The overwhelm. The identity shift.

who you will be working with
Michelle Paget, LCSW, PMH-C, RYT
Michelle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, certified perinatal mental health therapist, and registered yoga teacher in Denver. Her work is relational and somatic.
Becoming grew out of something she noticed again and again: so much of the support offered to new parents begins only once things feel hard.
Questions
Do I need to be struggling to start?
No. That is the point. Becoming is for anyone who wants to move toward parenthood feeling more grounded.
What if I am already having a hard time?
That is welcome too. We will talk in your consultation about whether Becoming or ongoing individual counseling is the better fit.
Can my partner join?
